Rimbaud's Album
La Tronche à Machin

spaceYou will find here an album of drawings made by Arthur, by his friends and relatives: Isabelle, his sister, Paul Verlaine, Ernest Delahaye, Felix Regamey and Germain Nouveau. They often illustrated the letters that they were exchanged. Having no news about their friend once he has left for the Unknown, they imagined his life, with a lot of humour. The photo album of Arthur and his family has been moved to the forum, for downloads to be allowed.

In the second part, you will find Ernest Pignon-Ernest, Jules Franck Mondoloni, Herve Constant, David Wojnarowicz, or Pascal Debruxelles' works but also several other artists that the poet inspired.

Most of the drawings have been scanned from the splendid book of Claude Jeancolas "Passion Rimbaud: L'Album d'une vie" (the album of a life), and from the book "Rimbaud l'heure de la fuite, by Alain Borer". They mainly come from Rimbaud's Museum and Charleville's Library, or private collections.
